Which Disney Princess Are You?

You Are Pocahantas!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Free-spirited and wise. You have a strong passionate spirit that touches and changes all who know you. The wisdom and common sense that you have is really what guides you through life. Even so, you also have a very playful side that loves adventure and excitement.

Thanks Les, that was fun!

So, I decided maybe it was time to post again since it's been about 2 1/2 years since I've posted.  Wow how time flies!  Many of you will know most of this but here's an update for those who don't...

Big Events of 2007:

Justin graduated from Concordia, but that may have been 2006, it's been so long it seems like a distant foggy memory.  I am so proud of him for his accomplishment.

I quit my old job as an admin. assistant at a local high tech company to go back to work at the place I worked in early college.  Sort of funny I know...  It is a temporary fix.

Justin went on many trips last year for his job.  Boston twice, Washington D.C., and Utah twice.  I was able to meet him for a long weekend in Washington D.C.  I must say it was rather impressive.  I recommend this trip to anyone, but make sure you have about a week.  There is so much to see!

We bought our first home this summer.  We have been really enjoying being homeowners and have truly learned what that means.  Turns out, the house we bought needed more work than we thought at first gkance.  We ended up replacing the carpet due to the previous owner's dog...need I say more?  We painted every interior wall (with much appreciated help from many loved ones).  There is still much to be done, mostly on the outside.  We do love our cozy home and look forward to making many happy memories here.

Justin was laid off from his job in the semiconductor industry in September.  Sort of a blessing in some ways since he wasn't happy there.  Not to mention for most of his time working there we were living up on the mountain, and he was commuting to Hillsboro everyday.  He is still on the hunt and will hopefully find something soon.

Justin turned the big 30!  We had a big family BBQ at our house.  His precious grammy gave him some paintings he picked out that she has been saving for him since he was 7 years old!  Man, I love that woman...

I am working full time and working on getting my real estate license.  I am very excited about this.  It is something I have always been interested in and have felt lead to achieve this goal now more than ever.  I am still doing pottery, but it has been a few months since I've been able to get into the studio and boy do I miss it!

I have two funny stories that are too long to post, but I had two ER visits since last summer.  One was my new shellfish allergy.  Mom was very thoughtful and we didn't have King crab legs on Christmas this year.  She's always thinking.  I sure do miss it though.  Thank God for my sister-in-law (a paramedic) or I may have been dead.  She pretty much scared me into calling 9-1-1.  The other story is my "good samaritan dog bite" incident.  It seems I have the worst luck with animals, but I love them anyway.  For one who doesn't really have many emergency situations, I sure had my fair share last year!  At least I can laugh about them now.

Needless to say we have really had a year full of many changes and memories.  We are so blessed to have each other, our families and our Savior to look out for us.

Now you are all caught up and I'll try not to let it be another 2 years before I post again!

Well, I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything.  I am going to try and be better at this.  As soon as we aren't completelty broke, I am going to pay so we can put pictures on.  So, here's the update...

Justin is doing some summer classes at Concordia.  I lost my job two months ago and I am now looking into opening a coffee/tea shop somewhere in the Boring or Sandy area.  I am also taking a summer class at Mt. Hood (Pottery), it's really fun.  Needless to say, I am going to try and make everyone's Christmas gifts this year!  I am starting to watch my nephew (Hunter) weekly.  Mom, Dad and I took Hunter fishing at Trillium Lake over Father's Day weekend.  It was a blast.  He has got the be the best fishing buddy ever!  He is just happy as long as someone is catching fish.

Just and I have been doing our share of fishing too.  His mom just moved to Arizona and gave him a huge Salmon rod and a smaller steelhead rod.  He is really excited about his new gear!

Congrats Heather and Jay (if you guys even see this).  Your engagement pics are sooo good!  You guys are so cute.

That's all for now...

Well, Justin and I are on the countdown for the big day.  Less than a month left!  My shower is in a couple weeks.  I am getting very excited.  Sorry I have no pictures to show yet, I have to actually pay to put those on, but I will after the new year.  Money is just flying out the window right now.

Jenn and Karla are flying home the week of the wedding.  I am having a fun girls day with my bridal party the day before the wedding.  Lunch at Multnomah falls and then off the Bonneville Hot Springs for some spa treatment.

Everyone has been great preparing us for a home.  We have been offered so much stuff, it's great.  Thanks so much to everyone for their support!
